Sarah Haney

(she/her/hers)
Board Member

I’ve spent the last 20 years in the title industry, but a huge part of my heart belongs to the softball community. I’ve been a proud softball spectator since 2019, and in 2024 I took that passion a step further by joining the softball committee. I’m married to my wonderful wife, Mary, and together we have three amazing kids: Noah (21), Elijah (18), and Milo (17). When I’m not at the field, you can usually find me crocheting or getting lost in books with twists I never see coming. I’m excited to support and uplift our LGBTQ+ sports community and help create a space where everyone feels welcome.

Terry Michael

(he/him/his)
Board Member

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Terry returned to the Circle City after attending South Adams High School and Fort Wayne Bible College. His career has taken him everywhere, including telephone operator, minister, and real estate agent. Terry was the first openly gay elected official in the state of Indiana as the Fall Creek Twp Trustee, after running for mayor of Indianapolis and State Senate. His most rewarding work was finding sustainable and affordable housing for people living with HIV/AIDS, coordinating with the city of Indianapolis, the Damien Center, Step Up, and other community partners. He has been active with the Indianapolis queer community for over 35 years through organizations like the Indianapolis Men's Chorus and the Crossroads High Rollers bowling league. Both Terry and his husband Brenden are dog people, gamers, and all-around nerds. Terry has never been much of a sportsball person, but he is hoping that his involvement with Stonewall will help other 60 year-olds realize how much fun staying healthy can be.
